Senior Associate Attorney – Litigation; Insurance Defense

We are seeking a Litigation Attorney to join our Los Angeles, California office. Our dynamic Insurance Services and Litigation Practice Groups are known for their comprehensive approach to managing complex insurance coverage disputes and defending insurers and policyholders in high-stakes litigation.

The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of litigation experience. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior attorneys and clients on complex insurance defense issues and in the defense of litigated matters across multiple lines of insurance.

• Drafting pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and appellate briefs.
• Communicating directly with clients, claims adjusters, and witnesses; providing updates and strategic advice to clients.
• Collaborating with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies.
• Handling all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Defending clients in claims involving personal injury, property damage, medical malpractice, construction, transportation, and product liability.
• Defending cases in civil litigation and in binding arbitration proceedings in both state and federal court.
• Attending court hearings and oral arguments both remotely and in-person.
• Preparing for and mediating cases and/or settlement conferences.

• Enjoy working collaboratively in a team setting with partners, associates, paralegals, and law clerks.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Be skilled in legal research and analysis.
• Have superb administrative and organizational skills.
• Be diligent, driven, and eager to learn.
• Possess the ability to work independently and take ownership of their work.

• Active bar license in California
• 3-7 years of litigation and/or civil litigation experience in either state or federal court.
• Experience with trial preparation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional writing, organizational, and advocacy skills

Salary Commensurate with experience: $130,000-$185,000 per year
