Job Title: Labor and Employment Attorney
Type of Position: Full Time (Hybrid)
Salary Range: $150,000 - $300,000 per year
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9 am to 6 pm.
At Law Brothers, located in Beverly Hills, California, we are passionate about advocating for individuals harmed by unlawful workplace practices. We are seeking a seasoned Labor and Employment Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong litigation and/or advisory background, extensive knowledge of California’s complex employment statutes and regulations, and the ability to navigate fast-changing compliance requirements. This role requires a commitment to representing clients with integrity, tenacity, and compassion, along with excellent advocacy and legal judgment.
Key Responsibilities- Advise clients on compliance with California and federal employment laws, including FEHA, FLSA, CFRA/FMLA, ADA, wage and hour laws (overtime, meal/rest breaks, exemptions), harassment, discrimination, and retaliation laws
- Draft, review, and update employment‑related documents (employee handbooks and policies, employment, severance, and independent contractor agreements)
- Handle employment litigation matters, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation claims, wage and hour class actions and PAGA claims
- Represent clients before administrative agencies (e.g., CRD, DLSE, EEOC)
- Conduct workplace investigations and advise on corrective actions
- Provide strategic counseling to employers on risk management and best practices
- Stay current on changes in California employment law and court decisions
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar
- 2+ years (or as required) of employment law experience in California
- Strong knowledge of California labor and employment statutes and regulations
- Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and client‑communication skills
