Job Description

Technical Support Hardware Specialist – 100% onsite, Monday through Friday at the Silvus Technologies headquarters in West Los Angeles, CA. The role serves as a liaison between engineering design and manufacturing production, ensuring that components are sourced, tracked, and qualified to meet project requirements.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Assist Engineering teams with the identification, selection, and procurement of electronic and mechanical components.
  • Coordinate with vendors to source parts that meet technical specifications and project timelines.
  • Monitor component lifecycle events (e.g., End‑of‑Life, Product Change Notifications) and proactively track changes to prevent supply‑chain disruptions.
  • Drive the execution of component qualification plans, including documentation, testing progress, and validation of alternative or new parts.
  • Maintain accurate Bills of Materials and manage technical documentation within PLM/ERP systems.
  • Act as the primary contact for suppliers to request quotes, lead times, and technical datasheets.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical administrative or procurement role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Familiarity with electronic components (resistors, ICs, PCBs) and mechanical hardware.
  • Exceptional ability to manage multiple tracking sheets and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with ERP/PLM software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
  • Knowledge of component lifecycle management and supply‑chain considerations.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident) due to federal contracts.
  • All employment contingent upon successful background check and drug test.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience interpreting datasheets, mechanical drawings, and industry standards.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and manufacturing environments.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Effective communicator across cross‑functional teams.
  • Proactive in identifying risks and driving solutions.
Working Conditions &

Physical Requirements

Office environment. While performing job duties, the employee will lift up to 20 lbs., perform bending, reaching, kneeling or squatting for lower shelves, and walk or move within the labs.

Compensation

$33.00 – $38.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and job‑related skills.
