Store Assistant Manager
- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
- Deliver product by car and then to the customer’s door.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Must pass a background check and have open availability.
Orientation and training provided on the job.
Communication Skills- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers over the phone and in person.
- Ability to train and lead.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (calculator may be used).
- Must be able to make correct monetary change.
- Strong verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to perform rapid, accurate, precise movements.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to maintain cost controls.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area, including multi‑story buildings and private homes.
Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler to 90°F and higher in some work areas. Sudden changes in temperature can occur while indoors or outdoors.
Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces/tools (up to 500°F or higher), and sharp edges.
Close quarters such as a walk‑in cooler, and hot surfaces/tools may present additional hazards.
Physical Demands- Standing:
Most tasks are performed from a standing position; work surfaces range from 36" to 48" high. - Walking:
Generally in short distances for short durations. Delivery personnel travel between the store and vehicle and to customer locations. - Sitting:
Paperwork is normally completed at a desk or table. - Lifting:
Bulk product deliveries are unloaded using hand trucks; cases up to 50 pounds are lifted and stacked onto shelves up to 72" high. - Carrying:
Lifting and carrying items ranging from 3‑4 pounds to 30‑50 pounds, including large cans, pizza sauce, and trays of dough. - Driving:
Delivering pizzas within a designated delivery area; multiple deliveries per shift may be required. - Pushing/Pulling:
Moving trays on dollies (24"–30" stacks) requiring up to 7.5 pounds of force. - Climbing:
Occasionally moving stairs or ladders to change prices on signs or perform maintenance. - Stoop/Bend:
Forward bending at the waist for 40‑45 seconds at a time at the pizza assembly station or front counter. - Crouch/ Squat:
Occasional use for stocking shelves or cleaning low areas. - Reaching:
Continuous reaching up, down, and forward up to 72" to turn off oven controls, change prices, lift/lower objects, scoop cornmeal, wash dishes, and answer phones.
Employees must operate in environments that require near‑mid‑range vision, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers is necessary for rapid, accurate movements. Ability to maintain cost controls and perform tasks under stress is required.
Open availability, safe driving record, and the ability to complete background checks are essential for this role.
