Alalamya Pharma Iraq is seeking an experienced and highly motivated International Logistics Officer to be based in India. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all logistics activities related to pharmaceutical raw materials, packaging materials, and production supplies sourced from India and other international markets, ensuring timely delivery, regulatory compliance, and uninterrupted supply to the company's manufacturing operations in Iraq.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and monitor international shipments from suppliers to designated destinations.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, and logistics service providers.
- Manage export documentation and ensure compliance with shipping and customs requirements.
- Coordinate with customs brokers and relevant authorities to facilitate smooth import/export operations.
- Track shipment schedules and ensure on-time delivery of materials.
- Monitor logistics performance and resolve transportation or shipment-related issues.
- Prepare logistics reports, shipment updates, and related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with GDP (Good Distribution Practices), GMP requirements, and applicable logistics regulations.
- Negotiate freight rates and logistics service agreements when required.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, freight agents, and logistics partners.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Warehouse, and Quality departments to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Identify potential risks affecting shipments and implement corrective actions.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Pharmacy, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Logistics Operations.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of international freight, shipping documentation, customs clearance, and import/export procedures.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and logistics-related systems.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
