Mackie Myers is partnering with an established fashion and apparel brand to identify a detail-oriented and operationally sharp Inventory Controller ready to take full ownership of inventory accuracy and flow across a multi-channel business.
About the RoleReporting to the Inventory Manager, this is a hands-on, individual contributor role - with room to grow into a people management position as the business scales. You'll be the central point of contact for all inventory movements across one physical DC and three virtual locations, ensuring product is exactly where it needs to be across wholesale and e-commerce channels.
Responsibilities- Own inventory integrity across all physical and virtual warehouse locations
- Develop and manage replenishment strategies based on demand forecasting and open order volume
- Standardize and enforce put-away procedures, cycle counting protocols, and multi-channel transfer workflows between wholesale and e-commerce
- Analyze open orders to prioritize receiving and processing of WIP shipments based on immediate demand
- Maintain a strict 48-hour turnaround for units to be processed from receipt back onto shelves
- Minimize variance between system records and physical counts through rigorous audit cycles
- Serve as the primary point of contact for inventory discrepancies, reviews, and cross-departmental transparency
- Track and report on key inventory KPIs including replenishment rates and stock accuracy
- Support internal audits and sample management
- 5+ years of experience in inventory control, warehousing, or distribution within an apparel or consumer goods environment
- Prior experience in a supervisory or lead capacity owning cycle counts and inventory procedures
- Strong background in logistics and distribution operations
- Advanced Excel skills and strong ERP proficiency required; RLM experience a plus
- Experience working with major retail accounts (Nordstrom or similar) a plus
- Systems thinker with the ability to standardize workflows across multiple locations
- Able to pivot quickly based on shifting sales demand and open order volume
- Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
