Position: Senior Construction Manager- So. Cal

Do you speak project management at all levels? We are seeking a Senior Construction Manager expert in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will possess a background in commercial or energy performance with a focus on large projects. This candidate should be an "out of the box" thinker and a "problem identifier".

RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan and collaborate with operations to ensure proper construction within budget.

Provide leadership and mentorship to junior project managers, helping them develop skills to become senior project managers, while overseeing their projects.

Maintain professional relationships with owners or customers to achieve high customer satisfaction.

Plan work phases and coordinate with operations to adhere to schedules and benchmarks.

Foster a cooperative environment where all team members understand their roles, feel engaged, and motivated.

Update management on project statuses, including those of junior project managers.

Use data analysis to monitor project costs and financial health.

Identify and mitigate potential risks related to schedule, safety, and personnel.

Ensure proper permitting and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Identify improvement areas to enhance reputation with employees, customers, industry, and communities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, chemistry, physics, construction management, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 10 years of project management experience.
Experience with estimating and accounting software for analysis.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and scheduling software.
Local experience preferred.
Strong organizational, analytical, and logical thinking skills.
Progressive experience in technical, administrative, coordination, and management roles.
