SummaryThe Millwork Director is the senior leader responsible for the strategic planning, management, and execution of large-scale, high-end millwork projects. This working director will actively participate in the fabrication process alongside their team. They will ensure the highest quality work while optimizing production resources for peak efficiency.
Core ResponsibilitiesProject Specific: Strategically plan, manage, and oversee the full production lifecycle for large-scale millwork projects, focusing on optimizing the use of time, material inventory, and shop resources to consistently meet quality standards and production deadlines.
Team Leadership: Directly manage a team of fabricators, fostering a high-performance environment, managing daily work assignments, utilizing personnel skills and resources to their utmost potential. This person will create and foster a culture of excellence and teamwork and a positive work environment.
Quality Assurance and Process Improvement: Establish and enforce rigorous quality control measures throughout the fabrication process. Continuously evaluate and implement improvements to millwork workflows and systems for increased efficiency and reduced waste.
Five (5) or more years of experience fabricating high-end cabinetry or millwork,
Thorough knowledge of industry-standard tools, equipment, materials, and best practices in the woodworking and cabinet-making trades.
Expertise in leading, managing, and mentoring a team of people.
Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, particularly related to project logistics, resource allocation, and budget control.
Proficiency with drafting software such as Sketchup or an equivalent CAD/CAM system.
