Our broad-based talent is versed in multiple disciplines, from investment and development, which enables the company to quickly assess market opportunities, to management, marketing, and leasing, which allows them to control costs and maintain the quality of its properties effectively. This position is based in Los Angeles County, but our company operates nationally, particularly in large regional malls.

As General Manager, you will be responsible for the oversight and full management direction of a regional, enclosed shopping center located within Los Angeles County. You will be responsible for meeting the duties and responsibilities of the position, which are outlined below.

To succeed, you should have:
  • Bachelor’s degree or related field and/or 5-10 years in retail property management.
  • Understanding of the financial aspects of property performance
  • Excellent skills in navigating the internet, Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to quickly learn and use new systems.
Your responsibilities as the General Manager will include:
  • Management, Operations, and Marketing
  • Ensure the safety, cleanliness, code compliance, and integrity of all property areas through regular inspections and maintenance programs.
  • Supervise staff and contracted services; provide training, scheduling, and performance monitoring to meet operational standards.
  • Prepare staff for emergencies and implement hazard control measures to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee marketing efforts, enforce lease requirements, and build strong relationships with tenants to support sales and community engagement.
  • Develop and manage multi-year capital projects, including tenant construction and asset improvement initiatives.
Leasing
  • Work with the property’s Leasing Specialist to execute new and renewal leases to meet or exceed client objectives.
  • Direct activities of the specialty leasing function to optimize temporary tenant and cart occupancy to maximize property revenue.
  • Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with the property’s leasing specialist to ensure budgeted leasing activity occurs.
  • Negotiate all tenant rent reduction or termination requests.
Financial Performance and Reporting
  • Drive NOI – Achieve (and, wherever possible, exceed) budgeted net operating income for the property.
  • Determine opportunities to improve Tenant recovery ratios.
  • Manage the property’s capital to budgeted levels
  • Direct the timely preparation and implementation of all financial reports, including budgets, monthly/quarterly reports, sales reports, variance reports, cash flow analyses, and forecasts.
  • Monitor the collection of all rents and execute appropriate collection processes
Ownership Relationships
  • Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the owner partnership team
