Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Disability Management Consultant will coordinate all activities of the UCLA Health System’s Disability Management Services program. Major responsibilities include managing both occupational and non-occupational injury and disability cases. The role requires demonstrating subject matter expertise with ADAAA, FEHA, FMLA, CFRA, CAPDLL, and knowledge of Labor Code 132a. In collaboration with the Manager-LOA/WDCM, the consultant will deliver UCLA Health’s Disability Management program by providing guidance and ensuring compliance with state, federal, and statutory laws, as well as facilitating the interactive process.
JobQualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, social sciences, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of Disability Management experience, including application of collective bargaining agreements, case law, directives, policies, and legislation
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and organizational skills
- Ability to ask thoughtful questions to understand past precedents and practices
- Proven relationship management skills to effectively partner with staff at all levels of the organization
