JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the parallel operations of the Coiling and Wire Forming machine setup process which includes pre‑setup of dereeler to post‑setup breakdown and responsible for processing the heat treatment of springs utilizing a FIFO system.

REPORTING TO

Manufacturing Manager

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Assist in machine pre‑setup operations which includes pulling raw material wire from inventory, staging the wire on the dereeler of the machine, and presetting the wire for Coiler setup.
• Assist in machine post‑setup breakdown which includes rewrapping and tagging raw material wire and placing back in inventory.
• Coordinate and process the heat treatment of various springs in our ovens, per work order.
• Respond to work order requests in a timely fashion.
• Synchronize work processes with the other departments as needed.
• Responsible for keeping equipment and work areas clean and orderly.
• Adhere and comply with the company safety procedures and overall company policies.

SKILLS and ABILITIES

• Ability to read a work order.
• Detail oriented.
• Basic Math skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and effectively communicate with others.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to multi‑task in fast paced manufacturing environment.
• Forklift certified (sit down electric or propane).

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One (1) year of progressive work experience in industrial manufacturing or related field.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Moderate walking, standing, heavy lifting, carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
• Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc.
