Company OverviewHybron Technologies is a defense technology startup pioneering a new manufacturing method for fiber-reinforced polymer composites that enables complex parts to be produced with greater strength, higher quality, and at 10 – 100x the speed of traditional methods.
We were backed by the Northrop Grumman Technology Accelerator, and we are actively fulfilling major purchase orders for the DoD and several major defense primes. Our current focus is applying our proprietary process to artillery shell production — one of the most mission-critical needs facing the DoD today, and essential to maintaining deterrence.

About the RoleThis is a full-time, in-person role at our El Segundo pilot facility.
This is an entry-level position within our manufacturing team, ideal for a motivated recent graduate or engineer with 1-3 years of experience ready to dive into hands-on composite manufacturing. You will be responsible for building, testing, and scaling composite parts for defense and aerospace applications under senior supervision.
You are a natural problem solver with a willingness to “get your hands dirty” building real parts and solving manufacturing challenges. You’re a team player with a great attitude, a desire to constantly learn and improve, and welcome constructive criticism and direction from senior engineers.
What we’re looking for- Must be a U.S. Person pursuant to EAR and ITAR definitions
- Composite manufacturing and design experience
- Ability to test and iterate new part designs to validate mechanical performance and manufacturability
- Ability to execute testing protocols to ensure parts meet aerospace and defense specifications
- Experience documenting issues, diagnoses, and solutions to continuously improve manufacturing processes
- Bachelor’s in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field; 1-3 years of relevant experience
- CNC or Manual machining experience
- Hydraulic press or high tonnage press experience
- Injection molding, resin transfer molding experience
- Vacuum bagging and autoclave processes
- Additive manufacturing experience
