The Welder
- Level 3 (Aerospace Production TIG Welder) performs precision TIG welding with minimal supervision and may provide technical guidance to lower level welders as needed. This role involves welding assemblies of intermediate to advanced complexity using aerospace materials, including stainless steel and aluminum. The welder is proficient in advanced TIG welding operations such as T joints, butt joints, and corner welds and demonstrates the ability to read and interpret blueprints to weld and fabricate advanced complexity components across various material types, thicknesses, and positions.

Welders at this level are qualified to weld material thicknesses ranging from .040 to .120 and must meet AWS D17.1 weld specifications. This role is best suited for candidates with recent professional experience performing precision TIG welding in an aerospace manufacturing environment and requires consistent adherence to aerospace quality standards, documentation, and acceptance criteria.

• Perform TIG welding on production assemblies of advanced complexity with minimal supervision
• Execute advanced TIG welding operations including T joints, butt joints, and corner welds
• Weld stainless steel and aluminum materials in accordance with internal and aerospace specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, travelers, and work instructions to produce conforming parts
• Maintain consistent weld quality while meeting production and quality requirements
• Provide technical guidance or informal support to lower level welders as appropriate
• Advanced welding and rework experience
• Advanced experience troubleshooting and working with fixturing

• Advanced proficiency in aerospace TIG welding in accordance with AWS D17.1 standards
• Ability to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminum across qualified thickness ranges and positions
• Ability to accurately assess weld quality, including recognition of oxidation coloration
• Ability to pass internal D17.1 weld testing
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to support lower-level welders

• Typically, 5+ years of professional TIG welding experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of AWS D17.1 weld specifications and acceptance criteria

• GED or High School diploma preferred but not required

For informational purposes only the range of pay for this role is $40.00 to $50.00 US Dollar (USD) hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only this role is eligible to participate in the Companys Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Companys bonus multiple based on the Companys performance in the applicable quarter.
