Who You AreWe are looking for a Systems Integration Specialist to lead the deployment of our devices across a diverse fleet of elevators, escalators, and moving walkways at a major institution in Los Angeles. This role is the critical link between our hardware and the physical machines; you will be responsible for tapping into equipment controllers and ensuring our sensors are accurately capturing the data that powers our platforms.
This is a full-time, W2 position based in Los Angeles, CA, paying $75/hr this role operates on a permanent night shift (Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) to facilitate work during low-traffic hours at the institution.
What You’ll Do- Hardware Installation:
Mount and configure Knaq IoT devices on a variety of elevator and escalator makes/models. - Electrical Integration:
Tap into controller wiring to monitor necessary data points. - Diagram Interpretation:
Read and accurately interpret complex wiring diagrams for a wide range of controller types (non-proprietary and OEM). - Collaboration:
Coordinate with institutional mechanics to safely access pits, tops of cars, and machine rooms. - Quality Control:
Test and verify data transmission from the sensor to the Knaq platform before moving to the next unit
- Technical Proficiency:
Strong background in electrical systems. You must be comfortable and competent at reading wiring diagrams and tapping into controllers. - Conveyance
Experience:
Previous experience working with elevators (traction/hydraulic) and escalators is required. While a CCCM license is not required, you must possess the safety knowledge and technical vocabulary of the industry. - Generalist Mindset:
Ability to work across various brands (Otis, Kone, Schindler, Thyssenkrupp, etc.) rather than specializing in just one. - Reliability:
This is a mission‑critical rollout. Consistency for the 11 PM – 7 AM shift is non‑negotiable.
Up to $75/ hour based on experience

This compensation range is presented in good faith for candidates that are hired in these roles will be presented a salary within the range stated on the job posting.
