Are you a skilled Maintenance Mechanic with a knack for troubleshooting and machinery maintenance? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This role involves maintaining and repairing our state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in equipment maintenance, electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical knowledge.

This position requires a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for:

1. Performing routine and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal operation.
2. Diagnosing and repairing equipment faults, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
3. Troubleshooting and repairing machinery malfunctions, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions.
4. Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
5. Adhering to safety and quality standards at all times, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
6. Assisting with the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
7. Training other team members on equipment operation and maintenance procedures, as required.
8. Participating in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing ideas for enhancing efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate for the Permanent Maintenance Mechanic role will possess the following qualifications:

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Food and Beverage Manufacturing industry.
2. Proven troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair a range of machinery and equipment faults.
3. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
4. Proficient in equipment maintenance, with experience in maintaining a variety of manufacturing machinery.
5. Solid understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics, with the ability to repair related faults.
6. Mechanical knowledge, with the ability to understand and work with various mechanical systems and components.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information clearly and effectively.
8. Strong safety focus, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and initiative.
10. Relevant trade qualification or equivalent is desirable.
