Cylinder Handler

Los Angeles, CA 90058 Duration: 3 Months Contract Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Job Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Cylinder Handler to support warehouse and production operations. This role involves handling gas cylinders, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment. The work is routine and requires attention to safety and detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle high and low-pressure gas cylinders within the facility
Load and unload cylinders from trucks and trailers
Sort empty cylinders and prepare them for refilling
Assist production team in moving filled cylinders
Perform cylinder maintenance such as painting, labeling, and cleaning
Inspect cylinders for damage or issues and report to management
Track inventory including cylinder quantities, types, and products
Pick and prepare items based on customer orders
Assist with shipping paperwork when needed
Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 1 year of warehouse or factory experience
Ability to perform basic math calculations
Ability to read and understand safety documents such as MSDS, OSHA, DOT, and FDA
Basic computer knowledge
Good communication and customer service skills
Self-motivated and team-oriented

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 25 to 75 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
Must not lift more than 45 lbs without assistance
Ability to stand for long hours up to 8 hours
Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, and repetitive work
Comfortable working in a non-air-conditioned and non-heated environment

Work Environment:

Fast-paced warehouse environment
Work area is not temperature controlled
Requires working with different teams and maintaining safety standards
