Role Description The Apparel Production Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role located in Los Angeles, CA, responsible for managing the lifecycle of styles from development through bulk production. In this position, the coordinator tracks production calendars, monitors milestones, and updates internal systems to ensure on-time delivery of all apparel styles. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with vendors and factories, preparing and issuing purchase orders, reviewing samples and pre-production approvals, and maintaining accurate records for fabrics, trims, and finished goods.
The role also involves resolving production-related issues, communicating changes to cross-functional teams (such as design and merchandising), and ensuring that quality standards and cost targets are met. The coordinator will regularly support inventory and shipping teams with status updates, troubleshoot delays, and help refine processes that improve efficiency and reduce errors.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Production Planning and Production Management skills, including scheduling, tracking progress, and coordinating with vendors and factories.
- Candidates should possess effective Project Management and Organization Skills to manage multiple styles, timelines, and documents while maintaining attention to detail.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, with the ability to clearly relay information to internal teams and external partners in a timely manner.
- Familiarity with apparel production processes, materials, and garment construction; experience with technical packs, measurements, and quality checks is beneficial.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and production management tools; strong competency in MS Excel or similar software is preferred.
- Previous experience in apparel production, sourcing, or operations in a fashion or lifestyle brand environment is highly desirable.
- Ability to work on-site in Los Angeles, CA, collaborate effectively in a team environment, and adapt to changing priorities and fast-paced workflows.
- Relevant education in Fashion Production, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
