The Cable Assembly Operator fabricates cables and harness assemblies. Capable of reading and interpreting manufacturing and production work instructions. Maintains up to date information on production specifications in determining type, size of cables, quantity, and finished dimensions with sequence of building operations.

Responsible for:
  • Builds cable/wire harness based on simple Work Instructions (WI), drawings and other written instructions.
  • Completes all tasks in accordance with current Celltron Process Procedures (CPP)
  • Strip and Crimp Wires according to IPC Standard 620B.
  • Capable of utilizing basic hand tools, able to read 6” scale and measure accurately.
  • Executes proper pin insertion and retention.
  • Competent in the use of tension puller and other basic test tools.
  • Complete correct jacket prepping per instructions.
  • Understands the basic procedures in Tinning, Lap, Lug, and Tack soldering.
  • Presents legible, accurate records using the Daily Production Output (Form-934A) to the Supervisor.
  • Provides legible, accurate records of production material accountability (scrap) to the Supervisor.
  • Report any deficiencies of equipment or materials to the Lead or Supervisor.
  • Know what to do when responding to emergency alarms and situations following established safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and cohesive working environment, clean work area daily.
  • Work in cooperation with other Celltron employees promoting teamwork concept.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as required.
Qualifications:
  • Basic knowledge of cable fabrication (Military cable fabrication a plus)
  • Understanding of wire descriptions, codes and designations
  • Capable of basic math functions to determine wire length and equipment setup to minimize scrap
  • Understanding basic hand tool use, specifically reading tape measures and scales

7am-3:30 pm Monday-Friday
Full time 40 hours
