CNC Machinist, Manufacturing Engineer
CNC Programmer will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs to support the production of precision-machined components. This role works closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to ensure parts are manufactured efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.

- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for mills, lathes, and multi-axis machining centers.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and CAD models to develop machining strategies.
- Select appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, and fixtures to maximize productivity and quality.
- Set up and prove out new programs on CNC machines and make adjustments as needed.
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to minimize downtime and scrap.
- Collaborate with engineers and machinists to improve manufacturing processes and cycle times.
- Conduct first article inspections and verify part conformity to specifications.
- Maintain program documentation, setup sheets, tooling lists, and work instructions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
- Assist with new product introductions and prototype development.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance to resolve non-conformance issues and implement corrective actions.
- Minimum 3-5 years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, Solid Works CAM, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of G-code programming and CNC machining processes.
- Experience programming CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements.
- Knowledge of tooling, metal cutting processes, feeds, speeds, and work-holding techniques.
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with prototype, short-run, and production machining environments preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or machining-related education preferred.
