Our client is seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist to set up and operate CNC milling machines, run and test part programs, and produce high-quality precision metal components. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of CNC machining, blueprints, shop mathematics, measuring tools, and machine shop practices, along with the ability to troubleshoot and make adjustments to programs and equipment.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision metal parts.
• Set up, test, and run CNC part programs while making adjustments as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints in both standard and metric measurements and convert between the two.
• Use machinist tools and precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions and quality.
• Apply knowledge of machine shop theory, shop mathematics, material machinability, and layout techniques.
• Troubleshoot machining issues, programs, and equipment to maintain production quality.
• Conduct inspections and testing to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Support continuous improvement efforts across manufacturing operations.
• Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and other team members to resolve production challenges.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machine operation experience, preferably with CNC mills.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong understanding of CNC mill setup and operation.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints.
• Strong shop math skills and ability to use a calculator for machining calculations.
• Comfortable working with both metric and standard measurements.
• Experience using machinist tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Strong mechanical and technical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with complex machinery and production equipment.
• 1–2 years of mechanical assembly experience preferred.
• Machinist or Machine Tool Technology certification is highly preferred.
• Ability to provide and use a complete set of personal machinist tools and measuring instruments.
