As the Influencer Strategy Manager, you play a vital role in bringing the Ulta Beauty story to life through engaging content that resonates with our community. Social media is a key driver of our business and often serves as the first touchpoint for guests. You will collaborate across teams to connect all aspects of Ulta Beauty’s organic social presence with storytelling across digital platforms, events, affiliate programs, and mailer activations.
The focus is on increasing community engagement, strengthening brand loyalty and awareness, and delivering a best-in-class social content experience.
You bring a proven, results-driven background in social media with expertise across earned, owned, and paid channels, along with a deep understanding of reporting and performance measurement. You are strategic and analytical yet creative and guest-focused—part art, part science—with a passion for communication, influencer relationships, and innovative storytelling. With a strong pulse on the beauty industry and the evolving social landscape, you excel at crafting content that inspires our social community and attracts new guests to the brand.
You also excel at cultivating meaningful, long-term relationships with partners while understanding how these connections drive business impact.
You’ll develop an intimate understanding of the Ulta Beauty community and bring creative excellence to content, campaigns, and social strategy. The ideal candidate is a forward thinker who understands long-term goals and the role of each platform in driving brand growth. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Influencer Strategy and collaborates closely with marketing teammates and cross-functional partners daily.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute insight-driven influencer strategies that align with Ulta Beauty’s marketing calendar, business priorities, and brand vision.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Social, Creative, Affiliate, and Integrated Marketing to activate always-on, seasonal, and brand launch campaigns.
- Lead the UB Collective strategy, including partnership calendars, campaign briefs, masterclasses, and day-to-day relationship management.
- Lead affiliate strategy for the UB Creates program, scaling and enhancing the program in collaboration with the Affiliate team.
- Support senior leadership in executing new long-term partnerships and ambassador programs.
- Oversee all aspects of influencer partnerships, including contracts, negotiations, payments, invoicing, and budget management.
- Partner with Integrated Marketing, Creative, and Agencies to develop influencer mailer strategies balancing innovation, goals, and budget.
- Support branded events and influencer trips from concept through execution, including attendee management and partner coordination.
- Continuously ideate fresh, impactful ways to engage Ulta Beauty’s guests through earned and owned social touchpoints.
- Maintain operational excellence by creating processes, ensuring regular communication with stakeholders, and keeping organized tracking.
- Analyze, review, and report on the performance and effectiveness of influencer campaigns and ongoing content initiatives.
- Maintain understanding of EMV (estimated media value) and the competitive landscape.
- Track campaign finances and ROI per campaign and talent.
- Develop monthly reports and presentations to measure performance against KPIs, providing actionable insights.
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to cross-functional teams, strengthening influencer and social strategies.
