To obsessively champion mother dogs and their puppies. Mother dogs and their puppies face the highest risk in shelters, overlooked in a system that wasn’t built for their unique needs. We’re changing that reality. Mutternity creates sanctuaries where maternal care is celebrated and rescue becomes a joyful, collective experience that transforms both canine and human lives. Every mother deserves their moment.

As a Pack Runner (Animal Transport - Local)

• Transport dogs to vet appointments, nearby fosters, and other local destinations within the LA area
• Support our fully foster-based community by ensuring dogs receive care, attention, and connections

As a Pack Parent (Dog Foster Family)

• Support dogs and our community as a fully foster-based rescue
• Provide love, knowledge, tools, and support to help a dog in our care thrive
• Be a valued member of the pack contributing to every mama dog and puppy’s wellbeing

Every hand, every hour, every heart makes a difference. Some open their homes, some drive, some plan events, some spread the word — together, we create a community where moms and puppies thrive. No role is too small, because when we show up as a pack, we’re unstoppable.

Mutternity Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue devoted to the mamas no one sees — pregnant dogs, mother dogs, and their newborn puppies. We believe every mama deserves a safe, soft place to land — to give birth in peace, to be nurtured through recovery, and to raise her babies with dignity.

In the shelter system, these families are often overlooked, at risk, and out of time. At Mutternity, we step in with loving foster homes, quality vet care, and unwavering support — giving them the second chance they never knew they’d get. We’re here for new beginnings, for healing, and for the quiet power of motherhood.
