Pain Management Nurse Practitioner (Part Time)
Job SummaryThe Pain Management Nurse Practitioner (NP) delivers comprehensive care to patients experiencing acute or chronic pain. The NP is responsible for assessing pain, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and performing interventional procedures in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and manage patients with chronic and acute pain conditions.
- Develop individualized pain management treatment plans.
- Prescribe and manage pain medications, including opioids, in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
- Perform or assist with minor procedures such as trigger point injections, nerve blocks, etc.
- Educate patients on pain management strategies, medication use, and lifestyle modifications.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient care.
- Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, behavioral health professionals, and others for holistic care.
- Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current and unrestricted NP license in New York state.
- Certification in Pain Management preferred or relevant experience.
- DEA license with controlled substance prescribing authority.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, pain pathways, and alternative pain relief techniques.
- Must have Medicaid, Medicare Numbers and should have completed practice of 3600 Hours-ven
