Nurse Manager Job in Los Angeles, CA - $130K to $158K - Full Time, Direct Hire – Harm Reduction Nursing Leadership Role
Job OverviewThis is a highly visible, hands on nursing leadership role within a low barrier, harm reduction focused care model serving individuals experiencing homelessness and substance use disorders. The Nurse Manager combines clinical expertise with people leadership, providing both direct patient care and oversight of a multidisciplinary nursing team.
You will lead care delivery across a range of non traditional settings including drop in spaces, mobile outreach sites, and outdoor park lets. This role is ideal for a strong clinical nurse leader who is adaptable, trauma informed, and motivated by meaningful community based work that prioritizes dignity, access, and continuity of care.
What Will You Be Doing?You will provide and oversee compassionate, patient centered nursing care while guiding daily operations for a diverse clinical team. This includes supervising RNs, LVNs, EMTs, CNAs, and Medical Assistants, managing staffing and acuity, responding to high risk clinical situations, and ensuring quality, safety, and documentation standards are met.
You will also play a key role in complex wound care, medication management, triage, observation care, overdose response, and care coordination while collaborating closely with social workers, case managers, and harm reduction specialists. As the Nurse Manager, you will serve as the clinical lead during emergencies, help train and onboard new staff, monitor infection control practices, and contribute to ongoing quality improvement efforts across this 24 hour program.
ScheduleMonday through Friday, onsite during normal business hours with flexibility. On call and after hours support is required due to the 24 hour nature of the program.
