LVN - shifts; Sanctuary

Overview

Sanctuary Treatment Center is currently looking for LVNs for 12 hour daytime shifts at our detox and residential facilities!

The LVN is responsible for providing a variety of nursing services which focus on prevention, treatment, education, and rehabilitation of the physical and mental health of the client. The LVN collaborates as a member of the treatment team to develop and implement effective treatment strategies.

• Full Time positions with benefits
• 12 hr shifts
• 9am - 9pm, 3 days a week
• Weekend availability required

• Assists with self-administration of medication and records clients vital signs.
• Conducts initial intake assessments and evaluations, including detox protocols.
• Ensures accurate documentation of medication and lab orders.
• Observes clients, charting and reporting changes in client conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment and takes any necessary action.
• Answers client questions regarding medication orders and determines how to assist them.
• Responsible for the management and organization of medication room, including supply inventory and equipment compliance.
• Evaluates medical concerns and directs clients to emergency medical care when required.
• Works with the treatment team and physicians to assess client needs, plan and modify care and implement interventions.
• Reviews medication logs, conducts medication counts and requests refills as needed.
• Provides monitoring and supervision of clients to support non-clinical staff.
• Performs breathalyzer analysis and monitors urine test samples from client. Documents and records results.

• Attainment of at least 18 years of age.
• LVN licensure required. Possession of a valid license/certificate of registration issued by the California Board of Nursing Education and Nurse registration is required.
• Experience working in a substance use facility preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a team player. Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
• Valid driver s license, clean driving record and personal automobile insurance.
