We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Registered Nurse (RN) to fill the role of Registered Nurse/Clinical II in our Telemetry Unit.
Position DetailsEmployment Status: Full Time (72-80 Hours Per Pay Period)

Salary Range (DOE): $52.08 to $69.24 per hour
What You’ll Do- Provide comprehensive patient care and education to patients and families in a supportive and therapeutic environment.
- Maintain professional communication with colleagues, physicians, and the healthcare team using the SBAR format.
- Adhere to HIPAA and VPH policies, maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Undertake cross‑training to various hospital areas as per policy.
- Utilize information technology to document care processes efficiently.
- Collaborate with physicians and mentors to evaluate and modify care plans based on patient needs.
- Follow Universal Precautions and VPH infection control standards.
- Administer medications per hospital policy, reporting any errors promptly.
- Collect and interpret patient data, formulate nursing diagnoses, and assess patient conditions.
- Advocate for patient and family values, beliefs, and standards.
- Provide ongoing discharge education and plan effective discharges from admission.
- Ensure a caring and compassionate approach, keeping patients and families informed.
- Support hospital throughput initiatives for timely patient transfers and discharges.
- Participate in unit or hospital quality initiatives and projects.
- Exhibit professionalism in appearance, conduct, and communication.
- Minimum of one year of recent nursing experience in the department.
- ADN degree required; BSN preferred.
- Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing.
- AHA BLS certification.
- LA City Fire Card certification within 30 days of hire.
- AHAACLS and NIHSS certifications within 30 days of employment.
- Annual Critical Care Stroke Swank Stroke Education within 30 days of employment.
