Description

This is an amazing opportunity for an Adult Neurology NP to be part of the UCLA Neuro Oncology. The Neuro Oncology Program at UCLA aims to improve the lives of patients with brain tumors by developing new therapies and providing expert clinical care. This is accomplished through basic science in neuroscience, genetics, immunology, highly advanced neuroimaging, novel therapeutic trials and a full spectrum of clinical care from inpatient to unique outpatient programs.

Neuro Oncology patients are seen by dedicated specialists with decades of combined experience and/or fellowship training in the diagnosis and treatment of this difficult disease. UCLA is a designated Neuro Oncology Comprehensive Care Center.

The NP will see patients under broad supervision of physician, addressing medical issues, monitor MyChart and other messages for triage and management, segway with neuro clinic on administration and authorization, oversight of IV infusion treatment order placements, refill prescriptions and triage with physician if and when dose changes are needed.

Salary range: $89.06 -$127.19 hourly

Qualifications
  • CPR: BLS - required
  • CA RN License and CA Nurse Practitioner License - required
  • State of CA NP Furnishing with Schedule II, National Board Certification in NP Specialty (i.e. ANCC) - required
  • Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Nursing - required
  • Additional: NPI #, DEA #, Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment in CURES - required
  • Previous NP experience - required
  • Neurology or Oncology experience - required
  • Ability to utilize Excel, Word and other software programs - required
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical and academic personnel - required
  • Skill in working independently and following through with minimum direction - required
  • Ability to set priorities - required
  • Demonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed and grammatically correct correspondence - required
  • Document patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner - required
