Per-Diem Corporate Health Nurse Practitioner

Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner needed for a veryper-diem contract opportunity with Yoh’s well-known corporate office client located in Century City & Downtown Los Angeles, CA.

This position is to cover a couple of times a year for when their full-time NP needs time off of work. You will be the highest level of medical care on the campus working alongside Physical Therapists and Mental Health Counselors. This is a clinic onsite at a corporate office, supporting over 700 employees who hold high-stress jobs.

SHIFTS (as-needed) 9am to 5pm:
Mon/Thurs Downtown Los Angeles & Tues/Wed/Fri Century City

• Active/unrestricted Nurse Practitioner(FNP/ANP) license in state of California
• Current prescription authority
• Minimum (2) years' experience as a provider
• Previous experience in:
  Occupational/Employee Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Corrections, Primary Care, Internal Medicine, or Family Practice type setting
• Must be comfortable with blood draws

• Assessment, triage, treatment, and education for employee health concerns
• Injury/illness triage and treatment
• Immunizationsand travel vaccines
• Perform onsite physical assessments (pre-placement, return-to-work, fitness-for-duty)
• Ambulatory care such as treating sore throats, ear aches, rashes, pink eye, etc.
• Provide onsite testing for strep pharyngitis, UTI, influenza, hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia
• Dispense over the counter medication (back pain, headache, pharyngitis)
• Phlebotomy

• Nationally Certified (ANCC, AANP)
• Current BLS/CPR (AHA or Red Cross)
• NPI
• Yearly TBTest or QuantiFERON Gold
• Computer skills with previous experience using EMR and previous experience with Quest a huge plus!
• Interpersonal skills necessary to interview, teach and counsel patients and interact with clients/employees
