Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in an outpatient clinic setting. The RN utilizes nursing processes, technology, therapeutic interventions, evidence‑based practice, and coordination with other healthcare team members to provide ambulatory care.
Posting InformationLocation: Miles City, Montana – Holy Rosary OB/GYN Clinics and Holy Rosary General Surgery Clinic
Shift: Full time (40 hours). Scheduled for either five 8‑hour shifts or four 10‑hour shifts per week
Salary: $29.91 – $45.33 per hour (dependent on experience)
- Performs general nursing care by following established standards and procedures.
- Obtains patient consent for care and maintains confidentiality.
- Collects and documents health history, chief complaint, vital signs, health risk factors, and assesses disease condition.
- Provides care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state regulations.
- Executes prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administers medications, and monitors treatment progress and patient response.
- Refers to or consults with physicians, other health providers, and community resources to prevent or resolve problems.
- Educates patients and families about health status, maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
- Documents assessment and intervention data using established medical record forms and documentation practices.
- Participates in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes.
- Tracks quality assurance data and monitors for acute and chronic care management.
- Assists with provider results, supports lactation consultations, and provides wound care services as needed.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Current, valid Registered Nurse license from the state licensing board.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- One year of related experience in a clinic or acute hospital nursing setting.
- Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations may be provided for disabilities.
- Regular attendance and reliable presence during scheduled shifts.
- Knowledge of nursing processes, healthcare systems, and community resources.
- Familiarity with nursing practice guidelines, state law, and clinic policies.
- Effective communication skills with staff and patients.
- Sound judgment and composure in emergency or questionable situations.
- Positive, caring attitude toward patients.
- Strong work ethic, high level of professionalism, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to read, assess, and manipulate equipment and supplies; frequent computer use for documentation; occasional lifting and patient transfer.
- Registered Nurse experience.
- IBCLC certification.
- Wound care certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Job Requirements
- Frequent interaction with patients and providers.
- Manual dexterity for manipulating delicate equipment and computer use.
- Ability to lift, transfer, and move patients and equipment, including heavy items.
- Walking and ambulating patients, including pushing/pulling gurneys and equipment.
- Standing for extended periods when necessary.
