+ Assessment:
Performs total body and system assessment each shift/visit according to unit standards.
+ Care of Patient:
Including planning, implementing, evaluating and educating.
+ Clinical/Technical
Skills:
Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to assigned unit.
+ Documentation:
Performs legible, timely, concise and accurate documentation according to policies and procedures. Proficient and competent with the computerized documentation system.
+ Leadership:
Accepts responsibility and accountability for own decisions and behaviors. Recognizes, accepts and cooperates with direction from facility leadership.
+ Precepting/Mentoring:
Participates in orientation of new staff, ancillary personnel and mentors students in a constructive and positive manner. Serves as resource to staff from other nursing departments
Our new birth center offers next-generation comfort and technologically equipped care to support growing families with optimized experiences and outcomes. We have modernized our maternity services, including labor and delivery, antepartum, postpartum, and our 24-bed Level III NICU to create spacious, nurturing environments for the 2,400 deliveries and 500 NICU admissions we handle each year.

+ 24 private NICU rooms-offering families more space to bond with their newest arrival
+ 3 surgery suites-with state-of-the-art equipment and technology
+ Pregnancy care center-with private triage, antepartum, and birthing rooms

** Job Requirements*
* ** Required*
* + Active Registered Nurse license in the State of California
+ 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
+ Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS) from the American Heart Association
+ Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
+ Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
+ Fire Safety, within 90 Days of hire
** Preferred*
* + Bachelors of Science in Nursing
+ 1 to 3 years of acute care experience
