Caregiver Trainer / In-Service Educator – Build the Skills of LA's Senior Caregiving Workforce

Role OverviewAs a Caregiver Trainer / In-Service Educator, you will design and deliver training programs for HHAs, PCAs, CNAs, and private caregivers. You will run new‑hire orientation, ongoing in‑services, and competency evaluations to ensure every caregiver delivers consistent quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Develop curriculum for new‑hire orientation, in‑service training, and specialty certifications (dementia, fall prevention, infection control)
- Deliver classroom and skills‑lab training to 8–20 caregivers per cohort
- Conduct competency evaluations and supervisory home visits to assess caregiver performance
- Maintain training records and ensure compliance with CA Title 22 / DHCS requirements
- Update training materials to reflect new clinical evidence, regulations, and patient feedback
- Mentor and coach individual caregivers struggling with specific skills or scenarios
- Current CA RN, LVN, or BSN with home‑health background
- 3+ years direct caregiving plus 1+ year training or supervisory experience
- Strong adult‑education and group‑facilitation skills
- Familiarity with CA caregiver training requirements (Title 22, HCS Act)
- Bilingual ability in Spanish, Korean, Armenian, Mandarin, or other Los Angeles‑area languages is a major plus
- Competitive salary ($58,000–$85,000)
