SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Manager to join our team at New Dawn Treatment Center in Sacramento/Roseville, CA. This role is vital in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our mission of clinical excellence. As a Nurse Manager, you will play an essential role in enhancing the lives of our clients through dedicated nursing practices.
Responsibilities- Seeing detox clients in person daily, at each site.
- Support the supervision of Recovery Advocates and Staff Nurses.
- Monitors staffing levels and flexes staff accordingly.
- Provide leadership on the floor and respond to emergency situations promptly.
- Serves as the point of contact for staff about questions and concerns during assigned shifts, escalating to the DON when appropriate.
- Monitoring all medication refill orders.
- Support and help facilitate monthly training, refreshers, and individual coaching sessions.
- Monitor the completion of shift wrap-ups and EMR documentation.
- Completing medication administration as needed.
- Destroying controlled mediations as needed.
- Performs client intakes.
- Completes routine clinical audits when needed.
- Assisting clients with EED paperwork.
- Managing client transportation on weekends as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Active California LVN, LPT or RN license.
- At least one year of experience in detox, residential treatment or related healthcare setting preferred.
- Must have and maintain a valid California driver’s license, clean driving record, and maintain personal auto insurance coverage.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
- Must have a current TB test or chest x-ray.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work well and quickly under pressure both individually and as part of a team.
- Excellent project management skills to consistently meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills with superior attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
