Description

Under the supervision of an anesthesiologist, the Nurse Anesthetist (NA) will perform safe anesthesia care, including:

  • Pre-operative assessment and documentation
  • Writing appropriate pre-op orders as per approved procedures
  • Administration of various anesthetic techniques
  • Patient monitoring intra-operatively
  • Managing intra-op course and emergence
  • Assisting in post-operative care
  • Work involves assigned shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, totaling 40 hours per week, with on-call shifts. Assignments will be across various ORs.

    Multiple openings available.

    Salary range: $109.96 - $145.17/hourly.

    Qualifications

    Required knowledge and skills include:

    • Valid California RN and CRNA licenses
    • Graduation from an accredited Master's or DNP program in Nurse Anesthesia
    • Current certification by the National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists
    • BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC
    • Ability to perform comprehensive pre-, intra-, and post-operative assessments and develop safe anesthesia care plans
    • Proficiency in pre-operative assessment of patients, including identification of medical conditions, drug interactions, and potential anesthesia management issues
    • Ability to explain anesthetic procedures, obtain informed consent, and document all relevant information accurately
    • Skill in airway management and interpretation of physiological monitoring data
    • Ability to insert monitoring lines and devices safely under medical direction
    • Knowledge of pharmacology relevant to anesthesia practice
    • Proficiency in techniques of MAC, regional, and general anesthesia for all age groups
    • Recognition of signs indicating safe emergence from anesthesia and proper patient transfer procedures
    • Knowledge of clinical and research techniques in anesthesia education, supported by experience and credentials
