LVN II - Prenatal Diagnostic Center - 8-Hour - Full Time - Days

** Job Description*
* Under the general direction of a licensed caregiver, the Licensed Vocational Nurse II is responsible for identifying the needs of each patient and assisting in the planning and delivery of patient care.  After appropriate educational preparation, it is capable of an expanded scope of care in the areas of nursing process and intravenous therapy.  Maintains competency skills including the ability to provide care to special patient populations and patients with diverse cultural backgrounds.  

It can identify the ability of the patient to follow directions/instructions.  It can identify safety concerns and institutes additional measures to provide a safe environment and identify developmental milestones.

* Education

+ High School Diploma/GED  - minimum

Experience

+ 1 year 1 year acute care experience - minimum

Licenses and Certifications

+ Licensed Vocational Nurse - Upon Hire minimum California State Vocational Nurse License

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) - Upon Hire minimum BCLS Certification
