Emergency Room Nurse

Provides comprehensive nursing care in the emergency room setting for a designated group of patients, ensuring adherence to established standards of care and clinical protocols. Oversees and collaborates with emergency nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams to deliver urgent and critical care efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities:

• Assess critically ill or injured patients promptly upon arrival and gather relevant clinical information.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans focused on immediate patient stabilization and ongoing treatment needs.
• Coordinate with physicians, specialists, and support staff to ensure seamless care delivery during emergency interventions.
• Monitor patient responses to treatments, evaluate progress, and adjust care strategies accordingly.
• Educate patients and families about their condition, treatment options, and discharge procedures within the emergency context.
• Delegate tasks effectively to nursing team members and supervise their performance to maintain high-quality care.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred.
• Have at least two years recent experience in emergency or acute care settings.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved provider.
• Obtain and sustain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification as required.
• Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing electronic medical records systems, including EPIC.
