Position
Purpose:
The primary purpose of job position is to supervise day-today nursing functions of an assigned area to include functioning as a Charge Nurse in providing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practices and regulations and ad many be directed by the Director of Nursing or Nursing Department Managers.
Schedule availability: 4/2 rotation scheduleDuties and Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: responsible for providing direct patient care, including administering medication, dressing wounds, checking vital signs, and assisting with activities of daily living.
- Documentation: required to maintain accurate and complete medical records, including progress notes, care plans, and medication administration records.
- Communication: communicate with patients, family members, and healthcare team members to ensure that patients receive the appropriate care and treatment.
- Supervision: supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and other unlicensed staff members to ensure that they are providing appropriate care to patients.
- Compliance: comply with state and federal regulations related to nursing practice, including infection control protocols, medication management, and patient rights.
- Collaboration:
collaborate with Registered Nurses (RNs), physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. - Education:
educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques. - Safety: monitor patients for signs of deterioration and intervene as needed to prevent falls, injuries, and other adverse events to include emergency disasters.
