Unit Notes 8/24 STARTS ONLY MUST BE WILLING AND COMFORTABLE FLOATING TO PEDS
- Will float to NICU to care for feeders and growers, and Peds. Peds consists of 12 beds, low acuity patients - usually RSV, pneumonia, etc.

Postpartum - # Postpartum beds: 28 beds - # births per day, per year: 3300 births per year

- Floor specific orientation: 3 shifts on unit
- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: 20 weeks and above, high risk - blood pressure, multiples, diabetes, no prenatal care, Substance abuse, no gyn surgeries on postpartum
- Additional Notes:
Must have 4 years experience or more working postpartum, travel experience is preferred, 13th largest center for births in California. Perm staff is receptive to travelers. Must keep an open mind to how unit and staff function and adapt to this.
