Nurses in 4

Northeast, our 30-bed inpatient Pediatrics unit, care for pediatric patients with acute health conditions, chronic health conditions and surgical problems related to general, cardiothoracic and neurosurgery. All pediatric patients and their families are provided individualized, developmentally appropriate, family-centered care by the interdisciplinary team on the pediatric unit.

As a Registered Nurse IV in Pediatrics you will assume responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care for the specialty patient population.

* + Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's of Science Nursing (state accredited program) - minimum

Experience

+ 5 years

Experience with in a specialty area - minimum

+ 1 year Must be a Clinical Nurse III at CSMC for at least one (1) year, to be promoted within the clinical ladder - minimum

Licenses and Certifications

+ RN State License - Upon Hire minimum California State RN License

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) - Upon Hire minimum Require BLS unless a higher level of certification is required. As required by your specialty unit.

+ Other - See Department Specifics - 1 Year minimum Other Competencies, as required by your specialty unit (ex. ACLS, PALS, fetal heart monitoring)

+ ANCC Specialty Certification required for internal hires - (1 Year minimum Specialty Certification for external hires )
