About This Role

The Step Down RN in Med/Surg Oncology provides professional nursing care, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who are committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

• Pay: $72 - $93/hour
• Location: Los Angeles, CA
• Facility: Los Angeles Medical Center
• Department/Unit: Med/Surg Oncology
• Schedule: Per Diem, Day shift

• Provide professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
• Uphold Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures.
• Serve as a leader of the health care team and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Develop and contribute to individualized plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and revise care plans as needed.
• Ensure patient safety and optimal pain control.
• Practice customer service standards and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Act as a resource and mentor to new employees and team members.
• Organize work to minimize the use of overtime.
• Participate in problem identification and resolution.

• Associate's Degree (ADN) required

• 1-year recent experience in an acute care setting or completion of a Kaiser Permanente training program within the last 12 months

• Current Registered Nurse License in California
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Basic Arrhythmia course required
• ONS provider certification within 12 months of hire preferred
