About This Role

The Sp Unit Staff RN in Labor & Delivery provides professional nursing care, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care, policies, and procedures. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who are committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

• Pay: $62 - $79/hour
• Location: Los Angeles, CA
• Facility: Los Angeles Medical Center
• Department/Unit: Labor & Delivery-General
• Schedule: Full-time, Night shift

• Provide professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
• Uphold Kaiser Permanente’s Policies and Procedures and applicable laws.
• Serve as a leader of the health care team and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Develop and contribute to individualized plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and revise care plans as needed.
• Ensure effective documentation of nursing processes and interventions.
• Discuss patient findings and progress with physicians and healthcare team members.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Practice customer service standards and ensure patient confidentiality.
• Act as a resource and mentor to new employees and team members.

Education:

• Associate's Degree (ADN) required

Experience:

• 1-year recent experience in Labor & Delivery or completion of a KP L&D course

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current Registered Nurse License in California
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification
  
  Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certificate
• Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
