Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ED experience, a CA RN license, and prior travel nursing experience.

• Active CA RN license required (EMSA not accepted)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (NIHSS and TNCC preferred)
• BSN required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, IV therapy, central line care, ventilator care, and ABG interpretation
• Comfortable caring for pediatric patients

• Work in the Emergency Department of a teaching hospital environment
• Cares for adult and pediatric patient populations
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30
• Requires availability for 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Provide emergency care to a diverse patient population including trauma, adult, and pediatric cases
• Navy blue scrubs provided
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with initial application and cannot be added later
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Former UCLA contractors, travelers, or employees must complete a 12-month separation and clearance process before reapplying
• Candidates currently active with any University of California entity are not eligible for consideration
