JOB DUTIES:

1. Performs restorative resident cares in an efficient and effective manner, utilizing safe technique and being always mindful of resident’s rights and the facility’s philosophy and mission.
2. Complies with all rules and regulations and policies and procedures of the facility, as well as regulatory requirements of the state and federal government as they relate to skilled nursing facilities.
3. Reports any change in resident conditions to the charge nurse in a complete and credible manner; documentation and reporting must be completed according to instructions and within established time parameters.
4. Takes responsibility to get continuing education hours required to maintain CNA certification; the facility will provide and will maintain proper records for your use at recertification time.
5. Maintains current CPR status and provides updated copies to the facility.

11. Record Keeping:
Restorative nursing notes are a permanent part of the resident’s medical record and are written in black ink. The notes must be initialed daily and a seven day note (weekly summary) is written each week to summarize the resident’s progress. Notes shall include:
1. What program the resident is currently on.2. Frequency of treatment.
3. Description of what was done.
4. How the resident responded.
5. Consultation with therapist as needed.
6. Contact with nurse as needed.
12. All other duties as assigned by the Director of Staff Development or Administrator REQUIREMENTS:
1. Certified Nursing Attendant with RNA training through a recognized course or a CNA with experience and a positive work history willing to go through the training for the position.
2. Certified by the state of California as a certified nursing assistant and maintains current certification while employed as a CNA at the facility.
3. Demonstrates the ability to follow oral and written instructions and to write information in English.
4. Must be able to perform any physical requirement of the position.
5. Must be able to perform any physical requirement of the position which includes lifting dead weight or unassisted weight of 40 pounds.
