Surgical/OR (Perioperative) Registered Nurse — Marina Plastic Surgery
Marina Plastic Surgery is hiring an experienced Perioperative (OR) Registered Nurse to join our collaborative team in a modern cosmetic surgery facility. The Surgical RN will work directly with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the OR Manager to deliver excellent perioperative care — from pre‑op through intra‑op circulation to PACU recovery and safe discharge. Key Responsibilities- Pre‑Op: Greet and check in patients, obtain vitals, start IVs, review medical history and consents, verify labs/clearances, provide pre‑op education, assist with pre‑op photos and surgical markings.
- OR Circulating: Circulate cosmetic surgery cases, prepare/maintain sterile field as needed, assist/support anesthesia, manage intraoperative documentation, and coordinate communication with families/caregivers.
- PACU Recovery: Monitor and recover patients post‑op, assess/manage airway, pain, and nausea, perform dressing changes, and deliver clear, thorough post‑op discharge instructions.
- Teamwork & Safety: Maintain infection control and medication administration standards, participate in inventory and supply management, respond calmly and effectively to emergencies (CPR/AED/crash cart), and help maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active RN license.
- Current BLS; ACLS required or willingness to obtain upon hire.
- OR/surgical experience required; comfortable administering medications and supporting anesthesia.
- Plastic surgery or outpatient surgery center experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to support patients and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and clinical staff.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
