Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) | Travel Contract

Barstow, CA | Acute Care

Contract | 12 Weeks | Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts | On-call availability required for nights and weekends

• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for patient care in the operating room
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR technicians, and other personnel to deliver safe, high-quality surgical patient care in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and facility policies
• Ensure availability of appropriate supplies and support timeliness of surgical cases
• Communicate with patient families and update physician preference cards as needed
• Scrub and assist physicians during surgical cases
• Supervise personnel involved in the delivery of patient care within the surgical department

• Active California RN License required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required; local candidates will not be considered for this position

• Familiarity with AORN standards and regulatory requirements in a surgical setting
• Experience scrubbing and circulating in a variety of surgical specialties
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary surgical team

• Opportunity to contribute to a critical staffing need within a fast-paced surgical environment in Southern California
• On-call availability for nights and weekends may provide additional scheduling flexibility throughout the contract period
