Part Time Surgical/OR (Perioperative) Registered Nurse — Marina Plastic SurgeryAbout the role
Marina Plastic Surgery is seeking an experienced Part-Time Perioperative (OR) Registered Nurse to join our team at our Brentwood location, with some time spent training at our current Pasadena site at the start. The Surgical RN will work closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the OR Manager to provide exceptional care from pre-operative preparation, circulation, through recovery and safe patient discharge.

- Pre‑Op: Greet and check in patients, obtain vitals, start IVs, review medical history and consents, verify labs/clearances, provide pre‑op education, assist with pre‑op photos and surgical markings.
- OR Circulating: Circulate cosmetic surgery cases, prepare/maintain sterile field as needed, assist/support anesthesia, manage intraoperative documentation, and coordinate communication with families/caregivers.
- PACU Recovery: Monitor and recover patients post‑op, assess/manage airway, pain, and nausea, perform dressing changes, and deliver clear, thorough post‑op discharge instructions.
- Teamwork & Safety: Maintain infection control and medication administration standards, participate in inventory and supply management, respond calmly and effectively to emergencies (CPR/AED/crash cart), and help maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active RN license.
- Current BLS; ACLS required or willingness to obtain upon hire.
- OR/surgical experience required; comfortable administering medications and supporting anesthesia.
- Plastic surgery or outpatient surgery center experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to support patients and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and clinical staff.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Flexibility to meet variable surgical schedules.
