Specialty Unit Staff RN - Stepdown DOU

The Specialty Unit Staff RN in the Stepdown DOU provides professional nursing care, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care, policies, and procedures. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who are flexible and committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

• Pay: $58 - $80/hour
• Location: Panorama City, CA
• Facility: Panorama City Medical Center
• Schedule: Part-time, Night shift

• Provide professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
• Uphold Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures.
• Serve as a leader of the health care team and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Develop and contribute to individualized plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and revise care plans as needed.
• Ensure patient safety and optimal pain control.
• Document nursing processes and interventions accurately.
• Participate in departmental performance improvement activities.
• Maintain a safe environment and adhere to workplace safety principles.
• Practice customer service standards and ensure patient confidentiality.

Education:

• Registered Nurse License (California)

Experience:

• 1-year recent experience in a Critical Care, DOU, or SDU setting, or successful completion of a KP Critical Care, DOU, or SDU course.

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Basic Arrhythmia course required
• Ventilator training required
