Position

Purpose:

The Manager of Quality Assurance will be a pivotal leader and hands-on working manager responsible for ensuring the reliability, quality, and suitability of Capstone Green Energy’s manufactured and procured products and services. This role requires the ability to move fluidly between strategic leadership and tactical, operational execution, personally engaging in root cause analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making when conditions demand it.

By applying statistical tools and quality methodologies, the Manager of Quality Assurance will drive data-informed decisions that strengthen process robustness, ensure compliance, and protect Capstone’s reputation for innovation, reliability, and operational excellence.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and technical support to the Production/Product Assurance group.
  • Establish and maintain Quality Assurance requirements and guidelines for Capstone.
  • Responsible for the quality and integrity of products.
  • Supports the Supplier Quality Management activities and efforts as required.
  • Establish and maintain MRB quality metrics and periodic reporting systems.
  • Plan, organize, and conduct production, process and final audits, assessments, and inspections.
  • Coordinate company initiatives to develop and improve product quality and reliability to help enhance throughput and productivity. These initiatives shall include the use of process improvement methodology to perform studies and offer recommendations with respect to process variability, risk analysis, and test method variability.
  • Manage the Manufacturing Quality Process Closed-Loop-Corrective-Action
    -Processes
  • Lead the preparation of product/process quality validation and qualification as well as Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and coordinates and supports the execution of process qualification, acceptance testing, and qualification testing.
  • Represent the company with internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure that manufacturing, assembly, test/acceptance meet product and performance requirements and applicable regulatory and government regulations.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work effectively in an entrepreneurial team environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge and application of ISO 9000 requirements.
  • Demonstrated internal and external Auditing skills
  • Demonstrate high level of computer literacy – proficient in developing spreadsheets (Excel) and utilizing word processing and databases (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Ability to communicate effectively, create and make presentations and write concise reports for all levels of employees.
  • Demonstrate analytical/technical aptitude evidenced by 5 or more years if successful experience in quantitative role.
  • Demonstrated coaching, mentoring, teaching skills.
  • Problem solving skills evidenced by demonstrated results in past positions.
