The Quality Improvement Leader is a member of the Quality Improvement department and will lead work on its enterprise-wide programs, projects, and key initiatives. The role will collabor a te cross-functionally on initiatives that will provide value across our company and for our consumers . This role will support creating agile and risk-based enterprise-wide processes and programs that support change, enable innovation, and ensure the simplicity and reliability of the compan y’ s Quality systems and standards .

The Quality Improvement Leader reports to the Quality Improvement Manager.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with business partners to identify and implement sustainable Quality Improvements that increase consumer and customer value.
  • Able to identify , interpret, and monitor quality metrics to support and drive improvement.
  • Proactively and collaboratively responds to trends an d implements creative and effective corrective actions.
  • Leads and s upports the implementation and sustainability of Quality programs such as the Quality Management System.
  • Develops standards and procedures to support the Quality Management system and audit readiness.
  • Coordinates and prioritizes required activities of the Quality department in relation to the NPD process.
  • Identifies opportunities to streamline and simplify quality-related processes while assuring compliance with cGMPs.
  • May develop and provide training relevant to the charge of the Quality Improvement department, including, but not limited to: QMS, GMP , root cause analysis, effective CAPA, regulatory changes, new or revised quality programs, etc.
  • May own or support quality programs assigned to the Quality Improvement department.
  • May support internal or external audits at Pharmavite facilities , including assisting with the writing of responses and leading CAPA efforts, when assigned.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Chemistry, Biology, or related s cience
Certification:
  • ASQ or Lean Six Sigma certifications preferred, but not required. Certified Quality Engineer preferred; bot not required .
Experience:
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a GMP-regulated industry , including, minimally, 5 years of experience in Quality.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Understanding of GMP requirements for the Dietary Supplements industry
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interface with other departments
  • Able to ut i lize common root-cause analysis and risk assessment tools
  • Project Management skills and/or familiarity with common project management tools
  • Able to handle a va riety of tasks under time constraints
  • Excellent oral and written skills (English) with attention to detail.
  • Strong working knowledge of manufacturing and quality assurance standards and systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
Physical Requirements:
  • General office environment, ability to sit for long periods of time .
  • Ability to move about an office .
  • May also include manufacturing, packaging, and warehousing environments.
Environment:
  • Exposure to disagreeable elements is negligible.
Safety:
  • The incumbent must be able to perform this job safely without endangering the health or safety of self or others.
