Movement Search and Delivery is working with an established materials testing facility in Southeast Los Angeles, CA to identify and evaluate a Senior Quality Engineering Leader.

The Quality Manager will lead the site's quality organization and quality management system while partnering closely with operations, engineering, laboratory, and customer-facing teams. This individual will be responsible for audit readiness, regulatory compliance, quality performance, supplier quality, and continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
What You'll Do- Lead and manage the Quality function, including Quality Engineers, Quality Supervisors, and inspection personnel.
- ISO 17025 experience is a strict requirement.
- Ensure compliance with customer, industry, and accreditation requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and operational performance.
- Partner with operations and engineering teams to implement effective process controls and quality systems.
- Establish and monitor key quality metrics to evaluate system effectiveness and business performance.
- Lead root cause investigations, corrective actions, and problem-solving activities.
- Develop and deliver training on quality tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Analyze quality and process data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and maintain audit readiness.
- Collaborate with customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve overall performance.
- Review customer specifications and quality requirements to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Manage supplier quality expectations and monitor vendor performance.
- Support quality planning, documentation, process validation, and procedural compliance.
- Oversee activities related to inspection, quality engineering, process control, and nonconformance management.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Quality, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of quality leadership or quality management experience within a manufacturing, testing, or regulated production environment.
- Experience managing quality systems, audits, and compliance programs.
- Working knowledge of industry quality standards and accredited quality management systems.
- Strong background in root cause analysis, corrective actions, statistical methods, and process improvement.
- Experience developing and implementing quality procedures, controls, and management systems.
- Knowledge of supplier quality, customer quality, and audit management processes.
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proficiency with quality reporting tools, spreadsheets, databases, and business systems.
- ASQ certification, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or advanced technical degrees are a plus.
- Experience with laboratory testing, materials testing, or aerospace manufacturing environments is preferred.
