THE OPPORTUNITY
Silvus is seeking a Quality Control Inspector-I who will report to the Quality Control Inspection Supervisor on the OQC team. Primary responsibilities will include conducting thorough inspections, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring proper procedures are followed for incoming electronic and mechanical parts and during the manufacturing and testing process. This role is also responsible for investigating any quality issues, anomalies, or failures and will work alongside engineering and suppliers to recommend any necessary changes or improvements.
This position will report into our Manufacturing Leadership.
This is a fully on-site position, Monday through Friday. The location for this role will be at our Salt Lake City facility.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform and document inspections of products and processes, including electronic cables, GPS devices, Wi-Fi dongles, connectors, mechanical enclosures, shields, and other critical components.
- Conduct inspections tied to receiving raw materials, parts, components, and fit checks as necessary.
- Ability to inspect First Article components and subassemblies.
- Prepare in-process inspection reports, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Maintain Quality documentation.
- Identify the serviceability of parts and components and appropriate tooling.
- Perform other related duties of which the above are representative
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1 year of electronic part inspection experience.
- Experience utilizing inspection tools (i.e., multi-meters, calipers, micrometers, microscopes).
- Ability to read basic schematics, specifically those related to PCBs and PWAs.
- Read and interpret part documentation, including blueprints, drawings, schematics, etc.
- Utilize Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and various communication systems effectively.
- Maintain clear and accurate records and documentation.
- Must have excellent organizational skills, be highly attentive to details, and have the capacity to handle numerous tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent and effective oral and written communication.
- NOTE - Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
- All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.
- IPC-J-STD 610, 620 or 001.
- Ability to follow and recognize the importance of processes and procedures.
- Ability to remain flexible and responsive in a fast-paced environment with shifting demands.
- Effectively evaluate workload and manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Can proactively recognize challenges or risks and communicate them to the appropriate stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
